Description

How to sew a French seam using 3/4″ seam allowances. French seams are used to hide unsightly raw edges, to create a finished interior on home dec items, such as pillowcases, and to sew a stronger seam. A French seam stitches over the seam twice, encasing the raw edges inside the seam. Please see our How to Sew a Pillowcase video to see how a French Seam is used in home dec sewing.
