Description

A tutorial for making a flat felled seam. Flat felled seams are used to enclose raw edges. This seam is similar to a French Seam, as it encloses the raw edges of the fabric inside the seam. When making a flat felled seam, the front side of the garment or window covering will show a line of top stitching. If a contrast thread is used, the top stitching line be used as a decorative element on window treatments, such as cornice boards.
